    Green Party Welcomes Green Energy in Killiney 
    As shopping centre installs solar street light 

    The Green Party has welcomed the installation of a solar street light in Killiney Shopping Centre.     

    Local Green Party TD, Ciarán Cuffe visited Killiney Shopping Centre to see the new solar light situated at the perimeter of the Centre’s car park, near the Graduate pub. 

    Green Party TD for Dún Laoghaire Ciarán Cuffe said: 
    “This is a smart, green option for Killiney Shopping Centre as there are no running costs involved with a solar street light and they didn't have to dig up the car park to lay the cables. It will also help the centre reduce its carbon emissions. 
      
    “I’d like to congratulate those involved in this initiative and I hope to see other companies and local authorities considering this green technology in the future.”
